Swan Dive, Las Vegas: One to remember

Up early. Wheels up.

It was a quick flight from Albuquerque to Vegas, and once we landed we went straight downtown to do some shopping.

I met a couple of really nice girls who helped me pick out a cool outfit. Final show deserves a final look.

Then I found a good-looking lunch spot, and there I met a guy who’s a fan of 2SAXY, one of my collaborative bands. Even in Vegas, the music finds its people. He sent me off with a box of delicious treats to fuel the band for the show.

The venue was in a cool part of town. Our green room was a garage full of random objects, including a bathtub stained with red dye. Fitting.

The show was full of wild energy. Shout out to the girls up front who danced through the whole set.

And then the night ended with none other than Flavor Flav coming to our dressing room. He shared some amazing stories and wise words. It was so cool to see him out in the crowd enjoying every moment.

That was DEADGRACE’s last show of the tour, and it was one to remember.

Afterward we went out for Korean BBQ and hit the slots.

THE ROOM

Swan Dive started in Austin, Texas, as a music venue and self-described elegant dive bar from Harvey Graham, who also runs the Oddfellows club in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Swan Dive opened in April 2024 upstairs in the two-story Colorado building at 1301 South Main Street, in the Arts District.

The upstairs room worked for shows but not as a hangout, so after a last show there in December 2025, Swan Dive moved down the block to 1412 Main Street, the old Sinwave space. A karaoke bar called Ugly Duckling now fills the room on the street, and Swan Dive is the music room in the back, entered from the alley across from Liquid Diet.
